On this page, you will find basic information about our clubhouse, including rental fees and what others have to say about renting our facility.
The ROWC clubhouse is the oldest building in Royal Oak, dating back to 1839 as a Baptist Church. The Tudor style exterior is nicely appointed with traditional cottage-style shrubs and flowers. It is located in the heart of Royal Oak, making it easily accessible from Woodward Ave, I-696 and I-75.

The upper floor is carpeted and ideal for recitals, presentations, intimate wedding ceremonies, memorial services and other non-food related gatherings. A grand piano graces a small stage. Tables and chairs can be set up to your specifications. Beautiful large windows allow full natural light as desired.

The lower level has terrazzo covered floors and a fully appointed kitchen for both cooking and serving. Large oblong tables or smaller 'card tables' can be set up to your specifications. You will also see the full wood beams gracing the ceiling- the last remaining elements of the original building.

Most rentals of the clubhouse include access to both floors for your event. An elevator is available from the back entrance of the clubhouse making both floors fully accessible without stairs. Both floors have fireplaces (non-working but lovely to look at!), bathrooms and coat racks. First Presbyterian Church graciously provides parking next door.

Rental fees are as follows:

NON-MEMBERS: $60.00 per hour [Minimum rental is three (3) hours.]

SECURITY DEPOSIT:
A security deposit shall be paid prior to date of rental and shall be returned approximately 30 days after the end of a satisfactory rental.

CUSTODIAN'S FEE: $35.00 Mon - Thurs. and $50.00 Fri. - Sun.

CANCELLATIONS:
The rental deposit will be forfeited by the Lessee in the event of cancellation at any time after signing the agreement unless: (a) the club is re-rented for the date in question or (b) if extenuating circumstances force the cancellation and the House Rules Committee agrees that the deposit should be refunded.
